For grade school I attended Saint Bede the Venerable School in Holland, Pa. I then made my way to Archbishop Wood High School. In May of 2018, I graduated from Gwynedd Mercy University where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education as well as Special Education. My hobbies outside of school include traveling, and spending lots of time with family and friends. Becoming a teacher has always been a dream of mine and I am so excited that this day is finally here! I can’t wait to meet my new students and begin this amazing journey alongside with them. ![]() My name is Alexis Wilson. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be teaching here at Good Shepherd. Several years ago, I too sat in these same desks when it was Queen of Peace. I know how much love, faith and education fills these hallways and I am very much looking forward to being a part of the GSC community. Following my 9 years here, I graduated from Abington High School, where I went on to obtain my Bachelor’s in Education from Holy Family University. I began in Centennial School District as a Title One Instructor and realized that my heart was in Catholic Education. Realizing my calling, I began teaching at St. John the Baptist in Ottsville, Pa. During that time, I also completed my Masters in Reading and Literacy. I am currently a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Horsham, where I also teach their Religious Educations classes in the evening as well as assist as a Den Leader for their Cub Scout Pack. My husband, Ron, and I live in Horsham, where our hearts are filled with raising our two amazing children, Blake (10) and Sienna (6). We love every moment of making memories for and with our kids. We love camping, traveling and heading to the beach, or really doing anything outdoors. It’s because of the teachers at Queen of Peace that I wanted to become a teacher. My goal is to be that role model for the children here, so they can do incredible things in their future. Dear Parents,
I hope you are enjoying these summer days! Here at GSC we are busy getting ready for the new school year. The books are starting to arrive; the STEM and Robotics materials are also arriving! We will be ready to greet you and the children next month. We are passionate about catholic education and we look forward to partnering with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, high-quality faith based education. We recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents are every child’s first teacher and we believe that by working together, we can make sure your child’s spiritual, social, emotional, and academic needs are met. Together we can be the difference! As we prepare for a new school year, I welcome you to this unique partnership. With you we share an important goal – to provide your children an education devoted to academic excellence and committed to Catholic values and ideals. We recognize the sacrifices you have made to send you children to GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC SCHOOL. This faith-based education you have chosen provides an atmosphere warmed by the powerful presence of our loving and faithful God. At the beginning of this school year I urge you to support our school through your prayers and cooperation. The close ties between family and school reinforce moral values and nurture our faith tradition. GSC welcomes Mrs. Monica Morales our new Spanish Teacher and Ms. Sabrina Escaleira our new first grade teacher! Our New Family Social/Back to School event is Friday, September 7th.
